Kara Obermire is an associate professor of accounting at the 麻豆传媒高清 College of Business.

Prof. Obermire completed a Ph.D. in accounting at the University of Wisconsin鈥檚 School of Business in 2016. Prior to her doctoral studies, she was a Senior Associate at Deloitte and primarily worked on public clients in the financial services industry. Professor Obermire was also an adjunct instructor and lecturer at the University of Montana and The Ohio State University. She remains a licensed CPA in the state of Washington.

Prof. Obermire鈥檚 research focuses on the monitoring of financial reporting by auditors and audit committees. Her work addresses audit committee effectiveness, audit quality, auditor independence, and geographically distributed audit engagement teams.听
